Item Description

A fancy doubly terminated, glassy and lustrous topaz crystal dramatically accented with highly angled side car crystals from well-known Maynard's Mine in the Thomas Range of Utah. The terminations are distinctively different on this cutie. Rich sherry color highlights the gemmy modified pinacoidal termination. The other termination is pyramidal with most of the crystal body included-with or embedded with typical rhyolite "sand". The sidecar crystals are gemmy, a very nice accent. A barely noticeable broken side car is out-of-sight in the primary display view. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. A sculptural, classic and excellent Thomas Range topaz. Valued $2000 - or more, as this is BIG for the locality!
