Item Description

A striking, large, doubly terminated spodumene from this noted locale and the Al Ordway Colllection. The glassy gem crystal is a pretty light pink (kunzite), although the color saturation varies a bit. One face of the water-clear crystal is well-striated. Both terminations are very jagged, but have strikingly different forms and colors. Complete all-around. The back face and part of one edge are cleaved, but have very minimal impact on the frontal display face. Another face is contacted, but has no damage, per se. This fine crystal is from the classic late 1970s finds here by Loren Beebe. 161 grams. Valued at $900-1200
