Item Description
A sculptural pair of doubly terminated smoky quartz crystals from the well-known Crystal Tips Mine on Peterson Mountain in the Hallelujah Junction area. The impressive parallel-growth crystals have striking multiple terminations at both ends. The interesting crystals have variable smoky color and are transparen to translucent with high glassy lustre. The crystals are aesthetically attached to a shard of milky quartz matrix, adding character. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The lower crystal is pristine. The upper crystal has only a bit of bruising to the termination and contacting on the side with no damage, per se. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. A fine matrix example of this varietal from this noted locale.
