Item Description

A striking and excellent Colorado amazonite and smoky quartz specimen. A pristine, 2.5 x 1.9 cm, lustrous, pretty turquoise-blue, doubly terminated, amazonite crystal is very aesthetically placed on the front of a large and lustrous, complete all-around, doubly terminated smoky quartz crystal with rich, dark smoky color. The moderately translucent smoky has very interesting, preferential stepped-growth and frosted sides. The smoky base is contacted, but has no damage, per se and the trivial termination wear is only a very modest detraction. Classic and very showy material from the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection # 237 and probably dates to the 1970s or 80s. Valued at $500
