Item Description

A striking, large, doubly terminated smoky quartz crystal from Brazil. The piece has very pronounced and unusual, stepped-growth faces on the front. The water-clear crystal has fine, light smoky color with some crystal faces being glass clear, while others are lightly etched. The contact on the base at the back is embedded with muscovite plates, but has very little damage. Complete all-around nearly pristine with only trivial termination wear. Older and uncommon material from the 1960s or 70s from the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
