DT Schorl w/ Quartz (Whitmore Coll.)

Item Description

Well-crystallized schorl specimens from Groton, New Hampshire are uncommon and doubly terminated pieces are very rare and desirable. A splendent, sharp, jet-black, doubly terminated schorl is nicely accented with a bit of quartz. A trivial bit of bruising and out of sight contacting on the back are noted, but are certainly modest detractions to this fine and rare example. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 727 and acquired in 1977.
