Sri Lanka sapphires set the standard for form and quality of the species and this is gem of a 2-piece deal of uncommon yellow crystals. The doubly terminated, tapered, floater crystals are variable cornflower-yellow and one crystal has a very nifty side car crystal. The typically layered crystals have lightly frosted faces. 31.45 carats total mass or 17.69 and 13.76 carats, respectively. Complete all-around and you can barely tell, that the large crystal has a lightly bruised tip. Not too many around these days. They are all heated, cut, and sold to the crazy Chinese market that is buying up as much as they can.
