Item Description
A classic, cornflower-yellow, doubly terminated, tapered sapphire crystal. Sri Lanka sapphires set the standard for form and quality of the species and this is an excellent example from a most obscure locality. The crystal has gemmy terminations accented with a nifty side car crystal. The typically layered crystal has lightly frosted faces. 21.50 carats or over 4 grams. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. You can barely tell, that the side of one termination is gently bruised. Not too many of this size and quality on the market these days. They are all heated, cut, and sold to the crazy Chinese market that is buying up as much as they can.
