DT Rhodonite (excellent xl)

This is an outstanding columnar specimen of gemmy, euhedral, shimmering deep cherry-red rhodonite from the recent find in Brazil. This fine, compound, doubly terminated crystal has one and a half complete and undamaged faces!! The photos highlight these faces and the backlit photo shows the intense color saturation and gemminess of this fine specimen. There is contacting on the other faces, but this remains a superb example for the species and it is not from Broken Hill. This piece is particularly rich, showy and has excellent doubly terminated form. Valued at $750-1000.
