DT Rhodochrosite (excellent) ex Marilyn Dodge

This is a superb example of a gemmy, lustrous, red, scalenohedral rhodochrosite crystal - and NOT from South Africa though it superficially looks it! This is a rare treasure from a very small find in Santa Eulalia (I am told in the late 1970s). It is a supremely good thumbnail with juicy color and a sharp termination coming to a gemmy, jeweled point. It is also doubly terminated, even though the lower one is fluted and is a different color.
