DT phantom Quartz w/ clay/hematite incluions (Hauck Coll.)

Item Description

The sharpness and clarity of this quartz crystal make its inclusions all that much more dramatic. Inside part of the termination are globular, brown clay inclusions. INSIDE the clay is a large, bright brick-red hematite inclusion. As you can see, the result is quite dramatic. This is technically a doubly terminated crystal, as the steeply sloping broken base has been totally rehealed with tiny stepped-growth faces. There is a little bit of contact at the tip of the quartz crystal, but it is the inclusions that this specimen is all about anyway. Ex. Hauck collection.
