DT Manganoan Calcite (fluorescent) w/ Pyrite (rare NM combo)

Item Description

A RARE and very fine calcite combination from this New Mexico district. The sharp, doubly terminated and pristine, light pastel-pink manganoan calcite crystal has nubby, frosted faces with waxy luster. Two sides of the prism have a preferential secondary overgrowth of tiny dogtooth calcites with pyrites. The attachment point is on the field of the sparkly pyrite cubes. Neon-orange fluorescence. A MUST for the locality or species collector. Specimens of ANY type are VERY RARE from here.
