DT Manganoan Calcite (2017 find - fluorescent!)

Item Description

A large, dramatic and sculptural slightly curved intergrown pair of manganoan calcite crystals from a 2017 find at this now famous mine. The sharp, doubly terminated, hexagonal crystals look like a pair of smokestacks and the lustrous, translucent, pretty pastel-pink crystals are accented with lighter pink terminations, adding character. The shimmering satin luster adds character. The front is pristine, with the contact on the back being out-of-sight. A very fine example of the find and striking varietal. Striking neon-orange fluorescence.
