"Imperial" topaz from Ouro Preto, Brazil is a "Holy Grail" topaz varietal, most collectors look for. This classic, gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, complete all-around, doubly terminated, striated crystal has classic golden-orange color and excellent luster. It is medium intensity for color. This beauty has almost no internal crazing. The lower termination is etched. A highly representative, cutter-grade, crystal from the renowned locale. Pristine. 20.97 carats or 4.2 grams. Valued at $300-400. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! We found this set-aside lot in the move, and I had bought it years ago in a large deal. I cannot replace them today for prices they go for here.
