Doubly terminated, smoky quartz, Herkimer "diamonds" of this excellent quality are uncommon. This striking, glassy, mostly water-clear gem has not only variable smoky color, but also has fabulous skeletal features, striking internal crazing, clay inclusions and two different termination styles. This is a fine and surreal, 360-degree crystal. Complete all-around. The bit of limestone matrix on the back adds characer. The termination has a trivial bit of bruising, mostly on the back side. The contact is at the base on the back and is out-of-sight. Choice material from the Bob Trimingham Collection from 1982. Valued at $400. BETTER IN PERSON!
