DT Hematite-included Quartz

Item Description

A colorful and striking doubly terminated, tapered hematite-included quartz crystal from the unique mid-1990s finds at the 2nd Sovetskii Mine. The lustrous, translucent, sharply terminated crystal has rich reddish-orange color and a light coating of drusy quartz. The drusy quartz embedded on the out-of-sight back was the attachment point. Essentially pristine. The crystal GLOWS, when backlit. Doubly terminated crystals from this find are RARE. From an East Coast collection.
