Item Description
An exquisite tourmaline and cleavelandite miniature from the most famous Pakistan locale - Stak Nala. Two glorious, parallel-growth, doubly terminated bi-colored tourmalines are beautifully accented with contrasting cleavelandite blades. The extra-long classic vivid pink, gemmy and lustrous, trigonal terminations are underlain by dark olive-green and then light olive-green sections. The gemmy basal terminations are light pink to colorless. A superb miniature example of the combination species and noted locale. From the famous finds here in the 1980s, among the first truly distinct pockets to come out of this region at the time. Ex Wouter van Tichelen Collection and comes with a written description and fine photograph on 8.5 x 11" photo quality paper.
