DT gem Spodumene (261 grams) ex Obodda

Item Description

A large, very sculptural, parallel-growth pair of limpid, doubly terminated, pleasing light yellow-green, gem spodumene crystals from Pech. The striking chisel terminations highlight the frosted, well-striated to smooth prism faces with waxy luster. Two faces are pristine. Most of the lower portion of one side is contacted, where another crystal once lay, but there is no damage, per se. The other side is a cleavage plane, that has minimal impact to the dramatic display quality of this large specimen, but it does show the super gemminess of the crystals. 261 grams mass. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $1200, more than 6 years ago. It is worth more today.
