Item Description
A lovely rich rose-red fluorite octahedron from this classic locale. This fine doubly terminated thumbnail has sharp octahedral faces, good translucency and lightly frosted faces. Fluorite is found in virtually every color of the rainbow, but true RED Fluorite is not common from any locality. Fluorite is one of those species that typically is more pale in smaller crystals, and the color is usually intensified as the size of crystals increases, so to have a crystal of this size with this color is impressive. It GLOWS, when backlit. Nearly a floater, the contact on the back with a bit quartz is out-of-sight. A classic, richly colored beauty from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection.
