Item Description

Fluorapatite specimens are very uncommon from this famous Chinese locale and this is a showy and excellent thumbnail example. Intergrown, glassy, translucent, variable brown to off-white, hexagonal crystals form a complex doubly terminated crystal. The frontal display face and one termination are fully pristine, with the second termination being partially complete. The attachment is on the back of the crystal. Highly representative and uncommon in this form and color from the Yaogangxian Mine. Variable yellow and off-white fluorescence. The gemmy termination, with hard-to-see light lavender phantoms, fluroesces bright yellow.
