DT floater Smoky Quartz xl (Schlichter Coll.)

Item Description

This exceptionally fine, doubly terminated, floater, smoky quartz crystal compares very favorably with classic Alpine smokies, but is from Maine! The large crystal is very glassy, water-clear to translucent and has rich smoky color. The etched and notched faces really add character to this smoky. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. The sharp termination is pristine, as is the basal termination, which is a healed break with intense stepped-growth. I see only two, very trivial spots of side wear. From an obscure locality and very rare in this quality. Ex Schlichter Collection.
