Item Description
A dramatic, large, doubly terminated quartz crystal from Mexico and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. This is RARE, old material from an obscure mine in San Luis Potosi. One end of this impressive, 360-degree piece has striking, cityscape architecture, with multiple terminations and most terminations are preferentially included with an unknown sulfide. The blunt, tapered termination is embedded with crystallized sulfides, that looks to be acanthite or another silver sulfosalt. The Cocinera Mine was exploited for silver minerals, copper, lead and zinc. Complete all-around, with only a trivial bit of periphery and side wear and contacting on one area, but with little bruising, per se. Comes with an old faded Dr. F. Krantz label, that dates from 1888 to probably prior to World War I. Possibly UNIQUE material from this locale. Valued of such a documented, striking combination rarity??? We think in $500-650 range.
