DT floater Quartz included w/ Fluorite

A striking doubly terminated, floater, quartz crystal included with numerous purple fluorite octahedrons to 3 mm. The tapered, water-clear quartz crystal has two water-clear prism faces and four lightly frosted, preferentially etched and coated faces. You can also see numerous negative casts, where the fluorites were plucked or dissolved away. Very interesting. Complete all-around and in good shape, overall. Both terminations are lightly dinged and there is only very trivial side wear. This very uncommon find from Madagascar a few years ago represented one of the few new sensations at the Tucson Show. These remain an impressive and highly representative example of this rare Madagascar combination. No more have been forthcoming. It was just uncovered from the recent move. This was initially priced at $600 for the richness of the inclusions.
