DT floater Herkimer Quartz diamond (Schlichter Coll.)

Item Description

A striking, gem-like, Herkimer quartz "diamond" crystal from the famous deposits at Middleville, New York. The very glassy, facet-like crystal is doubly terminated. The internal crazing and a few clay inclusions really add character, the brown color and the amazing rainbow-effects to this aesthetic specimen. One face has skeletal features. Complete all-around and pristine. A couple of contacts are noted, but have no damage, per se. A fine, floater Herkimer. Ex Schlichter Collection.
