DT floater Bournonite xl (Whitmore Coll.)

Item Description

A sharp, doubly terminated, floater, miniature bournonite crystal with splendent metallic luster and columnar to smooth prism faces. This orthorhombic crystal is skewed, giving it very interesting form. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial termination edge and side wear. Bournonite from other locales were expensive, until these fine examples from the Yaogangxian Mine starting coming out. Excellent and highly representative material from the Robert Whitmore Collection. Floater crystals of this quality were rare.
