Item Description
Blodite is a RARE hydrated sulfate found in oceanic and lacustrine salt deposits and in nitrate deposits in arrid regions. This is an OUTSTANDING and LARGE, CABINET-SIZED example of the rare species. This pristine, doubly terminated, dark gray, FLOATER crystal is lustrous, transparent to translucent and has very sharp faces and edges. The chisel-like or boat prow terminations are facinating and the doubly terminated accessory crystal is a super accent. Excellent material from the famous Soda Lake area of California. Valued at $400.
