DT, floater Amethyst/Smoky Quartz

A striking, doubly terminated, floater, amethyst/smoky quartz crystal group from a noted North Carolina locale - Statesville. The beautiful larger crystals (to 5.5 cm) are very glassy and lustrous and have stunning color-zoned smoky and amethystine hues. The two backlit photos really bring out these qualities. The lower half of the piece is multiply terminated, highly etched milky quartz. Complete all-around, trivial edgewear to the amethyst/smokies and to the milky quartz is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. Classic, very fine older material from this well-known locale. Valued at $350-450. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
