Item Description

An impressive large architectural cluster of increasing in size stacked doubly terminated calcite crystals from the historic Joplin Field. The well-formed flax-yellow crystals are transparent to translucent and have silky lustre faces. The imposing crestal crystal is 11.0 cm and the secondary crystal with two terminations at one end is 7.5 long. This outstanding old-time classic is pristine. Calcites of this unique quality and form are rare from Joplin or from any Tri-State locality. Valued at $1000-1250.
