Item Description
An impressive large doubly terminated calcite from this from locale. Both ends have the highly desirable gemmy, golden-amber color, with one having richer color than the other. The 3.2 cm calcite projecting out of the bottom at a striking 90 degrees with the barite is a very nifty accent. The gentle bruising and contacting, with no damage, per se, on the multiple termination end are out-of-sight in the display view. The single termination is gently cleaved (hard to see) and has a modest bit of upper edge wear. The small bruise noted in the center of the piece is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy and excellent large doubly terminated calcite from a classic locale and the Bob Trimingham Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! The glassiness obscured the amber color on the single terminatin end.
