DT Calcite twin w/ Baryte & Marcasite

Elmwood calcites are a worldwide classic and this is an aesthetic and excellent large combination example. The glassy, transparent to transparent, doubly terminated twin has the desirable gemmy golden-amber terminations. Exotic shards of bladed baryte are a super accent. The interior of the calcite is peppered with tiny marcasite platelets and the baryte is dusted with the same. Both terminations are gently cleaved, with the beautiful and larger gemmier one, less so. Excellent combination calcite valued by the former dealer at $1250. The piece has several fine display views.
