An exceptional and aesthetic calcite specimen from this less well-known Kentucky locale. The doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystal is very jauntily angled on the limestone matrix. The lustrous, translucent, 5.0 cm crystal has silky faces. This very fine and rare cutie is pristine. One face has embedded limestone, but there is no damage, per se.
