Item Description

An impressive, large combination from this renowned mine. A striking, 7.8 cm, doubly terminated and twinned compound calcite crystal is dramatically set on the edge of the mound of creamy, densely clustered, nubby baryte blades. The large gemmy crystals have the classic and highly desirable golden-amber areas. The smaller straw-yellow calcites are a fine accent. One tip is pristine and the other is gently cleaved on the beautiful golden crystals. Pristine and dinged crystals are noted in the smaller calcites. This remains a striking and highly representative large combination example of the species and famous locale. Older, 1980s material, from the Consie Prince Collection. Mass is 8.6 pounds or 3.9 kilos.
