Item Description

Calcite on galena specimens are RARE from this well-known locale, where calcite is generally associated with fluorite. A 7.4 cm, doubly terminated, calcite crystal is jauntily set on two, splendent, intergrown, galena cuboctahedrons. The amber calcite is lustrous, has gemmy terminations and a large interior phantom is clearly visible. Nearly pristine, the calcite has just a bit of edge wear. Fine and rare combination material from the Dick Heck Collection. Valued at $750.
