DT Aquamarine on Albite (Obodda)

Item Description

A stout, 5.5 x 4.0 cm, lustrous, translucent, pastel-blue, doubly terminated, aquamarine crystal is jauntily set and accented by snow-white, nubby, albite crystals on this very showy and aesthetic combination specimen from the Shigar Valley. The pinacoidal terminations are gemmier, more lustrous and have nifty modified faces. A trivial bit of barely noticeable upper termination edge contacting is noted, but there is virtually no real damage, per se. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this impressive piece at $800, five or more years ago.
