DT Apatite incl. w/ Actinolite (rare combo) ex Obodda

Stout actinolite needles, to a large 3.5 cm, included-in and embedded-on a sculptural, tabular, textbook elongated hexagonal, stepped-growth, transparent to translucent, doubly terminated green apatite crystal form a RARE and impressive 4-sided combination small cabinet from this obscure Pakistan Alpine-type locality. The needles in the highly lustrous crystal with both glass-clear and frosted faces are dramatically visible on all sides, when the piece is back lit! Amphibole Supergroup Byssolite hairs included in apatite are known from the locale, but not large Actinolite crystals, such as this. Very choice, perhaps unique combination material from this less well-known locale from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this exceptional rare and showy combination at $650, more than 8 years ago. It is valued at $800-1000 today.
