Sceptered amethyst specimens of this quality and color combination are uncommon from the Orange River. The glassy, tabular, nearly transparent doubly terminated scepter has pretty variable blush-purple color. The starkly contrasting stem was originally colorless, but now has a dusting of rose-colored hematite. The color contrast is dramatic. Complete all-around. The ding on back side of the termination is mostly out-of-sight. Choice material from the Charlie Key dealer stock .
