Item Description
Amethyst specimens from the 1980s find at this locale are an East Coast treasure. This is a very fine and aesthetic, glassy, intergrown cluster of doubly terminated scepters with pretty blush purple color attached to a milky quartz stalk. The scepter is complete all-around and in excellent shape, with only very trivial termination bruising and a small ding, just above contacted side of the stalk. First discovered in 1981 and worked for approximately 10 years, this deposit yielded between 500 to 600 single scepter crystals and 35 crystal groups according to Volume 26, No. 2 of the Mineralogical Record (1995). An excellent and classic example of this find and locale. BETTER IN PERSON!
