Item Description
Amethyst specimens from the 1980s find at this locale are an East Coast treasure. This is a glassy, doubly terminated scepter with pretty blush purple color attached to a milky quartz stalk. The scepter is complete all-around and the upper termination area is water-clear. The scepter is very nearly pristine. The back of the termination is gently chipped and is mostly out of sight. Contacting on the back of the scepter has no damage, per se. The back of the stalk is contacted. First discovered in 1981 and worked for approximately 10 years, this deposit yielded between 500 to 600 single scepter crystals and 35 crystal groups according to Volume 26, No. 2 of the Mineralogical Record (1995). A very highly representative and classic example of this find and locale. BETTER IN PERSON!
