Item Description

Amethyst specimens from the 1980s find at this locale are an East Coast treasure. This is a glassy, doubly terminated scepter with pretty blush purple color aesthetically set on quartz crystal matrix. The amethyst is complete all-around and is very gemmy. The amethyst is nearly pristine, with only trivial termination wear and an out-of-sight bruise to the back of the crystal. First discovered in 1981 and worked for approximately 10 years, this deposit yielded between 500 to 600 single scepter crystals and 35 crystal groups according to Volume 26, No. 2 of the Mineralogical Record (1995). A very highly representative and classic example of this find and locale. BETTER IN PERSON!
