Item Description
Hard to find material from the Schwarzenfeld municipality in Oberpfalz, Bavaria. A beautiful druse of sparkling white Quartz is coating cubic crystals of pale yellow green Fluorite, with individual crystals measuring up to 1.2 cm on edge free of matrix. The back of the specimen is mostly recrystallized, so it's essentially complete all around. I've actually never had a piece of this material to offer in the auctions before. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#781). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020. See the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record ( https://www.mineralogicalrecord.com/pdfs/Kay%20Robertson%20Collection.pdf ), and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017.
