A 1.8 cm, classic, superb, drillbit-twinned cinnabar crystal is beautifully set on contrasting dolomite rhombs on the sculptural miniature matrix. The textbook sharp and lustrous translucent crystal is wine-red to a rich crimson-red under normal light, BUT glows with cherry-red color when backlit! Complete all-around, the end cleave is out-of-sight on the back on the super frontal display views. Fenghuang cinnabars are some of the finest in the world and this is an outstanding example from an East Coast collection. Valued $1000
