Item Description
Dresserite is an exceedingly rare barium aluminum carbonate species, only found in ONE locality in the world, the Francon Quarry in Montreal, Canada. The species was named after Canadian geologist, John Dresser in 1968. This piece features an open vug filled with eye-catching, stark white radial "sprays" of Dresserite that measure about 1-2 mm. We have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A great specimen for any fan of rarities or minerals from the type locality.
Ex Colin Manlove Collection.
