Item Description

I've only seen a handful of these crystals, but they are distinct and interesting. First off, these are confirmed Dravite Tourmaline which is an important distinction in my mind. Secondly, they have a fascinating growth with a unique, gemmy and rarely seen "root beer" color at the base, which grades into a very thin sliver of a golden-yellow hue, which is one of the rarest colors for any Tourmaline species, but the kicker is the stark contrast in the immediate form of a silvery-blue opaque cat's eye termination! To be fair, if you really flood light through the cat's eye end, you can see a little bit of translucency, but it's still an amazing diversion from the gemmy and oddly colored Tourmaline at the base. Regardless of size, it's a notably unusual dichotomy in a single crystal. If you collect gem crystals or specifically Tourmalines, you can't miss out on this strange and intriguing specimen from Tanzania.
