Item Description
Rich specimen of sparkly, cinnamon-brown Dravite crystals from Slovenia. The largest of these prismatic crystals is about 1.7 cm, and the luster is excellent and of a rare quality for this ancient locale. Both the Dravite and the underlying layer fluoresce orange at different wavelengths. From the impressive and expansive collection of Dr. Robert J. Lauf, this is a PUBLISHED and Type Locality specimen, both of which are of particular interest to collectors. Ex. Miller collection from about 1900, with note card, signed book, and any labels included.
