Item Description

A very rarely seen specimen of the uncommon Tourmaline species Dravite from the tiny island of Syros in the Aegean Sea south of mainland Greece. This small cabinet specimen hosts several crystals of dark brownish colored Dravite measuring up to 2.3 cm with smooth, sharp, lustrous faces sitting on a silvery-green colored schist matrix. There are a few crystals, and "casts" in the schist where Dravites once grew, that show a unique "bent" habit, rarely seen in Tourmaline. If you collect unusual locality specimens or worldwide Tourmalines, don't miss out on this one, as they are virtually impossible to find on the market today. This piece was collected in 2019.
