Dravite Tourmaline on Magnesite (Matioli Coll.)

Item Description

Dravite, a member of the Tourmaline Group is RARE from this well-known large open pit mine. Lustrous, sharp dodecahedrons to 1.6 cm are attractively isolated with frosted-face magnesite rhombs, to 1.5 cm on the diagonal, on the hefty solid granular magnesite matrix. Tiny flashes of cherry-red and lime-green translucence are noted under bright light. 8 of the 9 dravites are pristine of this rare, very showy and exellent large combination from the Matioli Collection.
