Item Description
Sharp crystals of the tourmaline group species, dravite, are actually quite rare for some reason, especially with pointed terminations the way we would want them. This very sharp crystal has a termination so unlike any other tourmaline, it is easy at first to mistake it for some weird metallic mineral, and it definitely does not look tourmaline at first glance. But it is! From a small pocket brought to market by Tanzania-specialist exporter Steve Ulatowski about a decade ago. Featured in the book by Mineralogical Record; Refined Elegance: Nov-Dec 2022 (page 109).
