Item Description
A 5.5 cm, aesthetic cluster of moderately lustrous, jet-black dravite tourmaline crystals is smartly attached to the side of granitic pegmatite matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from these well-known, but long extinct Conneticut quarries. The sharp terminations have a very distinctive melted look. The Schlichter label says New York for the locale, which we believe is incorrect. They look just like Biermann Quarry dravites. Seldom on the market.
