Item Description
A showy and excellent, golden-amber, doubly terminated and twinned, CABINET, calcite specimen from the famous and now-closed Elmwood Mine. I particularly like the form of this piece with the gemmy single and double, fishtail terminations. A bit of edgewear and modest cleaves on the single termination are noted, but are a minimal detraction, as they are mostly on the backside of the termination. Very trivial edgewear is noted elsewhere, and the attachment contact on the back is totally out of sight. This is a classic and aesthetic calcite form and color from this noted locale. Ex Consie Prince Collection.
