Doubly terminated Sapphire xls (24.42 carats)

Item Description

A colorful gem of a 2-piece deal from the famous gem placer deposits at Ratnapura. Both of the sapphires are doubly terminated and the total mass is 24.42 carats. The classic and desirable cornflower blue crystal (11.37 carats) is very gemmy, compared to most from here and has high glassy luster. The pretty pink crystal (13.05 carats) is also gemmy, but the faces are more frosted. An excellent older and pristine pair from these deposits. Most such crystals are all heated, cut, and sold to the crazy Chinese market that is buying up as much as they can.
